Back to Lima and home

Our flight from Juliaca back to Lima took us over the mountains then up the coast.

The tour finished that evening, but the next day the four of us visited the old historic centre of Lima. In the Plaza Mayor the Peruvian president with other dignitaries watched over the changing of the guard ceremony while light helicopters and aircraft did fly-bys. We continued walking around, visiting the catacombs and ending in Chinatown. We said good bye to Peru that evening on the cliffs of Miraflores at sunset. A skateboarding dog was the final Peruvian sight for us to remember!

Our trip home took us past the high mountains of the Peruvian coast back past the volcanoes around Mexico City before darkness obliterated everything. Back in Canada we flew over Toronto and north of Lake Ontario passing right over the Ottery.
